Adventure riding short rides and BS thread

Good luck! I imagine getting the KLR unstuck would be easier! Years ago my youngest brother got his 90's blazer stuck up in the mountains outside of Denver and left it. My dad and I went back with him the next weekend to find it frozen in situ, took us the better part of the day to hack and dig it out before we could pull it out and get it turned around to head down hill. Good times.

wow, that sounds like it was a work-out! :laughing

I made it to Red Rock Canyon State Park/BLM today, no snow or mud here:

This spot is on Last Chance Canyon Road.

some wildflowers on the Jawbone side of Hwy 14:

imagine that’s pretty rare? I’ve certainly never seen anything like it … :angel

Nice pictures John.
I imagine the that area is bursting with wildflowers this year.

Thanks for the pics John! Looks gorgeous! I need another trip to the desert soon!

You make me really ze how desperately I need a Ride-a-Bout.

Nice! Heading out for a 3 day loop with a few friends this Friday, southward bound. I'm hoping we can find fun roads to ride (street bikes) that aren't either washed out or covered in snow. If plowed, riding up into the mountains to see the snow pack might be fun as long as things are above freezing.

hey all, thanks for reading and posting, wish you all were here! enjoy your three-day loop Mr N4ateTheGreat!

here is a pic from Spangler OHV area, last night. one silver lining to iffy weather is awesome skys, maybe:

see if I can get to Panamint Springs Resort today, and get the tent set up before the next storm catches me. :laughing:facepalm

Stay dry John! Wish I was going to noobs, but the new job is getting my my way...

Heck of a shot there! I think I'll have to find myself in Panamint Springs at some point this year, I really enjoyed my overnight there last time and I think I'd enjoy a bit more time there.

Wow, that's spectacular!

Agreed!

John, are you staying dry? Any issues with snow? I'm hearing that some folks going to noobs are getting turned around in some cases and taking the long way around to Panamint.

:thumbup

I’m staying dry, mostly because I left on Saturday for a rally that starts on Thursday. :laughing:facepalm

no issues with snow, mostly because I got over Tehachapi on Saturday afternoon.

spent nine hours in the tent Sunday morning getting rained on and waiting for that storm to pass. it’s 55 deg and sunny today, and hear we’re in the clear for the rest of the rally, maybe.

view south towards the snowy Argus Range from Hwy 190, this am:

Mr Bananachunks and Mr Elo made it here having ridden from SF through rain and sleet on Hwy 58, because Hwy 178 had chain control the CHP was enforcing. total bad-a$$ hard cases. :hail

looking forward to seeing Mr stratslinger77, today! :ride
