Fusion's are good cars.
They are now...
The first generation was horrible inside......crappy interior, with tiny buttons angled AWAY from the driver.......And ugly blue gauges with hard to read numerals...
Fusion's are good cars.
So what didn't the wifey like about it? Too noisy? Not comfy enough? Curious, as this is one of the econo boxes I am considering as well.
I'll be looking at the Fiats this weekend.......
but only 2 door.....
reliability still an unknown factor.....
let us know what you end up with please.
i will have to look into the 30 amp part. 'lectricity ain't my forte. thanks
I'd pass on that if I were you.
rob, or others in the know:
what does it take as far as Chevy proprietary equipment to charge at 220v? i don't have that in my garage but my cousin in law is an electrician and the breaker box is easy to get to. single phase right?
I was wrong...no quatro with TDI...
For residential dwellings in the US we do not use a 2 phase system. What we use in residential is a transformer with a secondary of 240 volts single phase centertapped step down type. Primary voltage is generally around 2.4 KV to 7.2 KV from a 3 phase source. This allows us to serve both 120 volt loads and 240 volt loads. 240 volt systems can be three wire or four wire. So our systems for single family dwellings are most often 120/240 volt single phase 3 wire sometimes called the edison system.
3 wire consists of two hot conductors with a ground/bond. ( earth bond)
4 Wire consists of two hot conductors, one neutral and one ground. (EGC)
Each hot leg is measured across each other = 240 volts.
Each hot leg measured to neutral = 120 volts
Each hot leg measured to ground should not be considered a true reading but will be around 120 volts.
Too bad, too. That would be a great combo. Love diesels, but need AWD. My understanding is that they do make it, but not for the US market.
Herny-ended up walking away from the Fiat after a bait and switch situation.
Still looking for another car though.
