I think that despite some arguably valid points, there appeared an intent to riducule the BARF riders he rode with. Some of those riders have friends on this board. It's only natural to defend your friends from ridicule.

He could have chose to express his criticism in a much more constructive manner--least of which, would have been to post on this board to start with. However, instead of doing so, he chose to post on another forum where the people that he chose to criticise would not have the opportunity to offer counterpoints.

I agree.
But in posting here on BARF, it's inviting 2026 (how many members strong are we?) dirty looks. I don't blame the guy!

I just think ... no, I KNOW... that this guy is probably someone that we will like a lot once he comes over here. And I also KNOW he will be here sooner or later, so rather than making a bed of shit like we did for a certain few members, let's be constructive and professional about changing his mind about our org.

It's just like marketing a product ... when someone says your tortilla is too salty, do you get offended and make it saltier? Or do you offer other types of tortillas that you also have in stock? I think the latter is a good idea.

Sorry, I just came back from Arizona and I'm all tortilla'd out.

I have a friend that went to ONE bux meet & then told me later that barfers can't ride. WTF, i ride better than this person, i'm on barf, we have both amateur & pro racers as well as sport riding instructors on this board & we can't ride. :wtf

just try not to lump everyone into one group because we all post on the same board.

Me! Me! Me! I'm a poser. Me slow. Me in SF. I love taking poseur pics of me and my bike. Here's an example below. I even had to learn a little photoshop to put it together. See, I love me soo freakin much. Ultimate poser. When I, like, first got on my leathers, everybody got on my case about my virgin and shiny kneepucks. So one day after getting so pissed off about people ragging on me, I just borrowed a dremel and grinded them a bit. Even did a little heat to mimic the dark tar of T-hill. :twofinger

But I don't even join the SF rides anymore cuz I'm just too plain slow. :p People are off their bikes and done with smoking a stick by the time I arrive. But ah, I'm the ultimate sweeper though. Knows what to do in a situation. I just take my leisurely time when I arrive at the next stop. Just in time to pose. :twofinger
