Best bike for surviving "The Walking Dead"?

For all my boys, you can do it, video to prove it vvvvv

Must be one of them new, unreleased recoilless .357s :rofl

That's not an M-60... :rolleyes

It's an M-249 S.A.W. (Squad Atomatic Weapon). A gas operated light machine gun that uses 5.56mm NATO ammunition and can be belt fed, drum fed and magazine fed. Can be fired from the prone, kneeling, hip or shoulder, and has a maximum effective range of 910 meters with no more recoil than an average 9mm pistol...

Yeah my bad, I don't know large firearms that well. None of your rolling eyes at me Mr!

those of you who have said mountain bike are correct, silent, low maintainance, and never runs out of fuel. perfect way to get around post-apocolypse. also firearms are decent but a good melee weapon that can handle dispatching more than a few undead is ideal. read the guides :p :nerd

I can't believe no one mentioned the bat cycle....fast, armored, stable and well equipped with a variety of weapons. Plus I think it has morphing capabilities if it become damaged and can fix itself.

If it HAS to be a bike, the M103M1:

We had them in the Army and I'm pretty sure the Marines did, as well. I think (Don't swear me to this) they are Kawi KLRs.

Why is this my pick? Diesel engine. Yup. Diesel baby. Nothing better for when SHTF.

Exactly. Until I can get a hold of one, my KLX650 will have to do.

Yeah. But the rider still needs fuel, in the form of food and water... :|

And what will you do when you run out of ammo..?
May I suggest learning how to hunt with one of these: \/

You could even make your own... :thumbup

you will need food and water on a mountain bike or in a car.
and as i said, firearms are ok, but a MELEE weapon is what is most important. in fact avoiding contact as much as possible is probably the best bet.

Something powered by "natural gas" Anything else in your fk'd in no time.

Right. But a melee weapon is only as good as the person who wields it. And you still burn more calories on a mountain bike. In a car/truck you can at least carry tons of food and water, plus cans of fuel, ammo, tools and spare parts...

Being stealth and avoiding contact is good too. But at some point you'll have to step-it up and fight for your survival...

I would just take the wife-mobile (SUV), empty the gun safe, pack the bow, then head over to Costco to hole up. It's already 90% zombie entry proof, plenty of food, beverage, and other survival supplies, comes with natural gas back up generator, few thousand gallons of gasoline, and the roof is a great crow's nest for sniping.

A bicycle would work well. If I chose a motorcycle, it would be a small, lightweight dualsport like a DR200.

And how would you choose a motorcycle when the shit hits the fan..?

What if the Costco is already empty (looted) or surrounded by zombies by the time you get there..? Better to store those supplies at home and if necessary be ready to flee to higher ground and make your stance there. Don't you think..?

um... supermoto and a light saber... since we're all dreaming here.

There happens to be a motorcycle ready to ride... when the shit hits the fan.

I'm just thinking. When the shit hits the fan. There will be two kinds of people. Those who prepared in advance and will use what they have. And those who did not prepare and will take what they want... :Pirate

I know it's all fun and games here. But just. What if..? When the shit hits the fan. What will people do within or beyond what is moral and ethical..? I've always wondered about this...:dunno

I see your SM and light saber and raise you a Bugatti Veyron and my own personal army of David Beckham clones wearing nothing but those tighty whiteys from the Calvin Klein ads.

there's about 30 windows in this house. I'll take my chances driving over to a place with NO windows and roll down gates at the front doors which happen to be large enough to drive through.
