not buying, not selling. we are standing still.
Pretty much.
But I don't know anyone here who still owns it, do you?
I have exposure to GPRO. Not selling, might as well hold. Possibly a buyer once the SP steadies. Waiting on the sidelines for now. I think GPRO could be a good trade. Undecided on LT prospects.

I missed the investing boat on the crazy 30% upswing after the recession as I wasn't invested like the noob I am.
30%? The Dow is up at least 150%
I hope this makes it to best of barf, worst financial advice thread in barf history![]()
My point though, I missed the boat as I had no money to invest. 30% or 150% I missed it haha.
Actually the inverse
OP said the time was to buy. He never indicated when to sell. At purchase you would have had the opportunity for a 100% upside if you sold at height. If you kept it to date, well that's on you... You need to define your upside and exit when it meets your goals

5K assumes you left it in till the top1k invested for the potential of 5k return sounds tasty to me.
5K assumes you left it in till the top
What if they sold early, after it only doubled?
Or, what if they leave it in even after it hits 5K, and then it crashes?
No offense, but all these threads about individual stocks seem so random and amateur, because unless you guys are insiders in the industry, you are just using the same publically-available information that the big-time traders have already traded on. For example you might spend a lot of time researching a stock, but everyone else who trades that stock has read the same info. So all those future projections and hopes or fears are already built into the price of the stock.

Using that argument I could tell people to buy gopro now and just wait indefinitely without saying anything and when/if it goes above the current price say i'm a genius. Could also say to hold a bit longer for the rest of our days if the price goes down. Without telling people when to sell this thread was retarded. To date it's been poor advice. Guess we'll keep on waiting though...

No
If I asked you for directions somewhere and you didn't tell me to stop at my destination, should I just keep driving?
similar story, you get to decide when you've arrived at the destination.
Yakoo, buy Gpro now.
