Now that I see this one this morning. I kinda dont like it... but anyways..

I like the color one, the lights look like little UFOs )

I've shot from the second location a couple of times. It seemed to work best when the sky was very clear.

Here's one I shot hand-held a couple of nights ago (so it's a bit blurry and noisy):

hey guys, need advice. im going to disneyland in two weeks, and was planning on renting a lens to take down there. i want a wide angle. i have a canon xt body.

i was thinking the Canon EF-S 17-55mm f/2.8 IS... but not sure if theres a better choice for me. any thoughts?

I use a 12-24 F4.5-5.6 wide angle, Works very well, then I have a 50mm 1.4 and 100mm 2.8 macro.
Those seem to do really well there.

If you wait till close to closing you can get castle pics without people walking around. I have also opened up exposure times to ghost people out of the photo.

If you happen to go to california soaring. Look on the wall to your right about half way down when you get inside, Your see a name of John Montgomery, Thats my grand pa's brother. He was flying gliders in the bay area and san diego 25 years before the wright bros. They would tie a glider to a hot air ballon and at 4000 ft, Cut him or his test pilot loose. We still have the court paperwork from when he sued the wright bros, as they were claiming to be the 1st to fly. They were only the 1st powered flight. John's glider had more of a design that look like todays airplanes.

I have a season pass so I go all the time to hangout and take pictures. I have been a few times even to club 33

bring a point and shoot camera. Enjoy your day.

Doesn't Canon make a 10-22 or something? Thats what you really need if you want ultra wide angle on a cropped sensor body.

I just got a 105mm 2.8! Here are some shots I took from my first week with it:

Um, so, I just got hit up to do a shoot with Laurena Lacey while she's visiting.

No, I'm not kidding.

It occurs to me, I can't really do a shoot with someone of her caliber in my somewhat unproffessional-looking (albeit free and perfectly usable) garage/studio.

So, cheap studios to rent in the area? Ideally very close to the 95125 zip code?

Or should I just spend some time making the studio look more like, well, a studio? It's nice having everything setup and ready to go there.

Hmm...

Think I'm going to take Zypher up on the place he recommends.

Using a Canon 5D Mkii, so, yes.

Might be time to move the purchase of the 24-70 L series glass up a coupla months :teeth

You won't regret it. I love it with my 5d2
