Do You Mountain Bike?

tough as shit, but fun as hell. i did 7 laps....

awesome bro' :thumbup......you racked off like 63 miles and around 9000 footies on a chubby DH rig......stellar!

side note - betcha next time you'll remember your tent poles before camping in freezing temps though.....:rofl

Boggs III

was a blast!:ride

It was a fast, challenging, and FUN course!:) (9.2 miles, 1200ft elevation gain)

Went easy on the climbs and pushed on the descents.

It was an amazing ride, I would definitely do it again.

Camping with friends the entire weekend was awesome!

I'm soooooo glad I raced on the 24lb HT.

Greg, (we have a wedding to attend) if it was not for the fact that my best friend is getting married, we would definately race/camp/party with the Shiela Moon team again this weekend. Awsome bunch of riders.
Still waiting on a masculine jersey, cuz I ain't touching those flower skin suits!

yes....do not miss the Cool race....:thumbup

I was thinking I'd either do it with the gf or attempt it solo, until I checked my calendar - looks like the Wildflower triathlon is that weekend. I was looking forward to it too!

Well, the ride for Jamie Whitmore fundraiser this past Saturday at Mammoth OHV in Auburn was awesome. I showed up late as I didn't get off till 4am that morning.

Got a few shuttles in and hung out. I didn't win anything at the raffle but oh well.

I've only found one pic of me there and that was with the other EVOMO team riders.......my friend Brett (left), Tom (center) and me (right).

Maybe I'll see ya guys at Sea Otter.......

Giant Demo at JMP

Giant Bicycles is hosting a demo of their 2008 Maestro line of full suspension bikes up in Joaquin Miller Park this Saturday and Sunday, April 12th and 13th. The demo fleet will be set up in the Woodminster parking lot off Joaquin Miller road and they will be sending folks out on Reign X, Trance X and Anthem bikes. They will have about 100 bikes or so, so anyone can take a ride if they are interested.

Saw it on MTBR http://forums.mtbr.com/showthread.php?t=400557

Who was Jamie Whitmore?

She's a pro triathlete diagnosed with a pelvic tumor as of February of this year.

CAREER ACHIEVEMENTS:

2007 Xterra US National Champion
2007 Xterra Southeast, East and Mountain Champion
2006 Xterra Japan Champion
2006 US Xterra Pro Series – Second Overall
2006 Xterra West, Midwest and East Championship
4- Time Xterra U.S. Pro Series Champion
5- Time Xterra National Champion
2- Time Xterra European Champion
2004 Xterra World Champion

On Friday, March 28, Jamie underwent surgery to remove a large cancerous tumor. After 9 1/2 hours of surgery, that tumor was successfully removed. Husband Courtney is very hopeful as Jamie continues to recover and undergo further treatment at UCSF Hospital in San Francisco.

I caught that earlier this week. Might see ya out there - I'm curious as to how well a Reign or Reign X will work for Lisa as an AM / DH rig.

We're out of town on Saturday and Sunday we have the race at Toro, so we won't be there.

Let her test ride a couple and do a few runs down Cindy and Chappy:D

Does anyone have any weekend getaway trips for MTBing? I'm trying to plan a trip but have NO clue where to go. Any ideas? Of course I want something with lots and lots of singletrack. That's really the only requirement. Thanks!
