Do You Mountain Bike?

Looking for a 120mm fork an some hydraulic disk brakes for the cheap. Something I can put on my winter bike. Anyone have anything out there?
I have a 2008 Talas RLC 100 - 140 (near brand new)
2007 Fox Talas R 100 - 140 (I think) scuffed up a bit on the legs. Stanchions perfect.
I probably have some XT brakes as well as some Hayes Stroker Trails.
Probably have more, you could come over and take a look what I got.

They will all be going for competitive market rates $$ but will not be "give aways"

Joe

Probably out of my price range as those are pretty nice pieces. I'm looking for something like a 120 float an some hayes 9 brakes. or juicy 5's etc etc

Trails had excellent traction at N* today:) - Vista side was closed but should reopen tomorrow & Sunday.

So far I'm diggin the DHR:teeth

Great seeing you guys @ N* today. Bunch of crazies, I tell ya. Sorry I didn't stick around. I had a scary spill @ Livewire. Someone crashed in front of me on that last berm right before the mountain-cross starting area, he didn't move out of the way and I ate it trying to avoid collision. My recently healed rib area started hurting again and I had trouble taking full deep breaths so I got the heck outta there.

Northstars final weekend...

+1. Traction was better than I've ever seen there in six years. It was almost unbelievable how good it was up there this weekend. I can hardly explain how good it was on Friday and although a bit drier (and alot busier) on Saturday, I'd take that any day. If it could always be like that, it would be world class, but scary fast at the same time. But it's closing now... I'm gonna be chomping at the bit all winter long :( Time to put up the DH bike and get out the snowboard gear. :loco

Was that Joe(Harpo) crashing in front of you on LiveWire :rofl

I guess I missed you for the time you were there riding. Our big group got seperated into two or three smaller groups and you were gone by the time we regrouped. Next year!!! ...or somewhere more local sooner.

Haha! No, it wasn't Joe.

I heard Mammoth Bar in Auburn is crackin. I've never been there, but I'm down to go. I have a truck we can use to shuttle.

Mammoth Bar has some fun shuttle runs:thumbup

Joe was just talking about getting together for a group ride there:)

Alrighty ladies and gents: I'm wayyyyy overriding my shitty RST suckFork. I'm saving for a nice FS next year, but for the time being (and since I don't plan on getting rid of my hardtail when I do get a FS) I want to upgrade the fork to something I can ride a little longer without killing myself.

I'd like to spend $300 or so, so a super nice Fox is out of my budget, but here's what I'm looking at. MTBR doesn't have reviews on anything here, so I'm reaching out to you. My current RST is 110mm so I'm looking for something in that range.

Or, anyone else got anything they're looking to get rid of that I might have missed?

Tell me where to send the money. Seriously.

Though since I know nothing about forks, I should first ask how long the stem is, and if it is standard size (do I measure inside or outside diameter?) What about the threading? Do I need to be concerned with that?

But seriously, where do I send the money :) I'm heading to San Jose next Friday afternoon and can dip into Lafayette on my way through Oakland, or we can work out shipping. Send me a PM or hit me up on AIM: Paroxyzm

Thanks!

Excellent flick:applause Sonny, Mike, Joe & I watched it last night.:)
Lance Armstrong is one bike riding sob.
He came to one of the hardest mtn. bike races ever. No pit crew, no support vehicles, (NO KNOWLEDGE OF HOW TO CHANGE FLAT TIRE BY HIMSEL :shocker) Challenged some the best mtn. bike ridders in the world at their own game, on their own turf, and kicked their butts. Man that guy can ride a bicycle. :thumbup

OH, and the movie was fantastic.
