Do You Mountain Bike?

Typical Trek.

Eh, I don't get the Trek hate. I've found their stuff to be super durable. I worked in a Trek shop for a decade and rarely saw an issue. On the rare occasion there was they always fixed it within a few days. Sure, I broke this, but at the same time, I'm about 255lbs with gear and don't ride easy.

No hate, I think they make nice bikes. They just have never been consistently reliable.

Right on. I guess my point was that I just wouldn't consider this their issue, really. I really beat on the bike, and I expect to break things at my size. My experience working with them for a decade has been that they are just as reliable than any other major brand, and much more so than the b level bikes.

Rough times. Thinking to replace the part or the whole thing?

Nah, they'll just give me a new rocker as the rest of the frame is fine. It'll take me 10 minutes to put it back together.

Heard they make MtnBike Viagra now,...Consistently reliable or your money back.

Yaaa Yaa Yaaa, I haven't ridden a god damn mtn bike in 3 F@#$%n years and that's the funniest thing I could think of to contribute to the forum.
My body's shot, my mind's shot and clearly my sense of humor is following suite.
Damn Mtn bikers :afm199 :afm199 :twofinger :wtf

I've been ruined.

Just upgraded. While not the Cannondale I was lusting after, I'm now on a used Jamis that my LBS was selling for a customer. Barely used, it was too much bike for the guy. Essentially brand new Al FS bike. X0 components, WB Loop TCR up front, 27.5, I can't wait to race it tomorrow!

I've done 2 XC races and a 12 hour on my friends entry level 40 pound Haro HT. Spring only front end, cable discs, platform pedals. Killing people up hill but struggling going down since the bike is never in contact with the ground.

I know it is only Cat 3, and not a great turn out, but I'll take any podium I can get. 2nd place

First time on this course.
First year racing MTB (or really riding, honestly)
Bought the bike the day before, no set up
