Class act by Mees giving Bryan Smith a competitive bike to ride for Bryan's last mile race. Mees First and Bryan Second was a big payoff for both.

Top Class Title Showdown, Showdown, Showdown at the season finale:​

Jared Mees takes a four point lead over Briar Bauman into the last race of the year this Friday evening, Oct 8th at the Charlotte Half Mile. Neither one of these guys is going to give and inch. We've hadn't had the SuperTwins championship go down the last race of the season since...last year.

AFT changed up the Charlotte Half Mile schedule due to the weather forecast. All the mains are late morning and early afternoon, Pacific time.

Going to be a productive day for me tomorrow. :D

Hope they get it in tomorrow. Had a great day visiting a good friend in Watsonville. Then off to a long visit to the Moto Talbot Museum. Got to talk to Rob himself as he was there today. My second visit and my friends first.

David Fisher wins. WOW, his first Expert win.
 
Big fan of Fisher. His win is a needed bright spot on a tough night. Glad to see JD bookend his season with podiums on half miles. Have to give Mees credit for the comeback championship after being injured early in the season.

FOX Sports Announces 2022 Progressive American Flat Track TV Schedule
January 25, 2022
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (January 25, 2022) – Progressive American Flat Track and FOX Sports announced today the broadcast schedule for the much-anticipated 2022 season. All 18 races will premiere in one-hour telecasts on FS1 during highly desirable weekend time slots, starting with back-to-back coverage from the Volusia Half-Mile Doubleheader on Sunday, March 20 at 11:00 a.m. ET.

AFT season opener is tonight at the Volusia Half Mile followed by round 2 on Friday night. The Singles class is even more stacked than last year. Same for Production Twins. SuperTwins has dropped the franchise-like buy in for teams along with adding further restrictions to the Indians as an attempt to level the playing field. The other big news is Shayna Texter-Bauman's move to the Factory Indian Super Twins program where she is now teammates with her husband, two time champ Briar Bauman. Texter-Bauman has raced the top twins class before but was hamstrung by an unreliable Triumph.
