Golden State Warriors 2017-2018

they reversed the call and GOT IT RIGHT. it was a fucking block. lol.

Yeah, the morning after by all the pundits and stuff agrees. KD talked about one of those reversals having happened to him in his career as well.

I still didn't like that it set up this whole drama though. I would have preferred to take a loss and not have all this anger and outrage because I am reasonably certain that the Dubs will win this series. I just hope there is no fan violence or unneccesary altercations back in Cleveland over it all.

Having watched Klay get undercut and potentially out for the whole series, I think the selective outrage is funny, especially against Draymond. Who has the dirty player?

Let's just embed this for the fun of it...

Some seriously dirty play from the Cavs & JR...

Thanks. I dont do it enough to even know how you did that but I'm sure its in the FAQ. Basically he is getting a pass for what he did to Klay but I really wonder about that...

Just for kicks I was reading some of the comments on Fear the Sword.

This is like in 2016 when Warriors fans complained about the refs in that game where Curry fouled out. Cavs fans called us "whiners" but who's whining now.

Here's the moment of the charge
Right, because a snapshot of a moment of an action that occurs over a period of time truly represents the entirety of the action.

That's why they review multiple videos from different angles, not single snapshots.

I would suggest constant ball washing for LeBron in the WARRIORS thread would be considered trolling/baiting.
:thumbup

Bronny got chippy at the end when it was clear he was going to lose despite his great effort. He is resentful that he doesn't have a team behind him to support him. I understand how frustrating that is but I wish he had more grace in defeat to go along with all of his ability and skills.

Let us remember that the LeBrons with 51 points from their leader, with questionable calls and no-calls, were barely in contention against a Warriors team that started Kevon Looney, did not play Andre Iguodala, sent Klay Thompson to the locker room for a while, and played Pat McCaw (!), Nick Young, Jordan Bell, and JaVale McGee. That's how much Steve Kerr thinks of the Cavs. How much of those guys did you see against the Rockets? The Pelicans? The Spurs?

Absolutely a block and easy to see in replays at game speed. I wanted to smash my TV listening to the announcing crew repeatedly view in super slow mo and conclude he had established a defensive position. The biggest factor in determining whether a defensive position had been established is time, which you can't assess in super slow mo. The refs got it right. Lebron jumped in front of KD.

I fucking hate this announcing crew, had to watch most of the game on mute because they're so annoying. And Mark Jackson has never gotten over getting his fat ass fired by the Warriors and seems to carry around his ax and grinder to every Warriors telecast.

And for chrissakes, how fucking stupid is the general public blaming JR Smith for losing the game, when Green was the one who missed the free throw. JR is a total knucklehead for sure, that's been clear for a long time, but he isn't the goat. Heck, he outrebounded KD just to get the ball. The goat is Green, a good free throw guy, missing a free throw to win the game. JR Smith's actions were irrelevant.

LeBron, to his credit, usually keeps his cool given the animosity he's faced throughout his career. But Curry really seems to get under his skin.

J.R. is the type of 'athlete' that I have disliked for a long time. The sneak thief's that do dirty things and are good at not getting caught because they've done it their whole life and then act like they didn't do anything.

There is nothing admirable about them, they're just dirty rotten people who think they're smarter than everybody else and get ahead by cheating. :thumbdown

Given his history, he should be given a 10 game suspension every time one of those little 'accidents' happens.

That's me every time the ball is passed to Draymond and he sets up for an open three.

But watching his shots it looks like an easy fix, because he is short almost every single time. He's not spraying it, he's leaving it short, which means he's just playing tentative and pulling the string. He needs to just let it fly. But IIRC, he hit a big three late in the game last night.

Lebron's shoes are white - he's nowhere near that line, and both officials could see that. Look at my first photo. It was a ridiculous use of a rule to overturn a call that shouldn't have been able to be reviewed.

That's the gripe, regardless of whether or not it was a charge or a block.

I mean, I can do this all day, too.

Here's some more Golden State content.

Looks like basketball to me, huh?

The whole point of review is to make sure the call was right.

Sorry you're mad that it went against your team, but it was a correct review and a correct call.

It's not a regardless situation. The details are important. You asking the refs not make a judgement call when the rule is designed to correct a potentially bad judgement call, kind of like a fail safe. When reviewing the call for Lebron's feet placement they noticed it wasn't a charge but a block. Unfortunate but correct.

Kinda like the tuck rule on Brady or a holding call on the goal line.
