I superman'd that hoe

So Nate, do you have things ironed out? I'm about 1/2 a mile from hwy 166, are you closer to 166 or Ojai? Again, give me a call if you need some help.

Nate- you have had multiple offers of help in this thread, and I'm getting PMs from people asking if you still need help. Please let us know what the status is- do you still need help? Is Peter picking you and the bike up?

:facepalm

I suggest you call mommy and daddy and ask them what you should do.

This is one of the shittiest posts I've seen in awhile. A kid flew off a hillside, could have been seriously hurt, is stranded hundreds of miles from home, and you think this is acceptable??? Shame on you! Would it still be funny to you if Nate were in the hospital? One BARFer in ICU is plenty enough, thank you very much- I personally am happy as hell that Nate is mostly unhurt.

Thank you, Forrest, got you on the list!! :thumbup

Shit , sry Peter is coming down to get me, sorry to those I didn't reply!!!

Thanks for the update, Nate.

Do you have a solution for dragging the bike up the hill? I just want to make sure that you are completely covered.

Buying a crane. It'll be a piece of cake yo

But yes, I got it covered thanks Brian :)

Holy shewt! Glad you're alright, buddy. :shocker

Sounds like you're getting your bike sorted, but more importantly make sure you're sound medically. So long as you're alright, you can always ride another day.

Head injuries are a bitch... :teeth
Glad you're sorted out, and you're in the best of hands with Peter! :thumbup

Peter is career military- his specialty is solving problems. He'll have everything needed for the job... plus anything possibly needed for the job... and, just to be on the safe side, a kitchen sink. Or two.

That's awesome. It's incredibly generous of him to go all the way down to Santa Barbara to help Nate. :thumbup

Thanks for helping my friend, Peter! :)

Ive got a winch but the truck it's strapped to gets 10mpg on a good day-and I'm in SJ

Peter is an awesome guy coming down here to help Nate.... We are going to meet AAA up in the canyon in about an hour to try and get it winched up and towed to the hotel to make the process easier.... I am going to start searching for parts to start putting nates bike back together... Street shark skins are first all around, fairing stay, gas tank is def needed, stator cover, clipons, and a few other things... Let's help Nate get on two wheels ASAP... We will keep people posted on progress and espically a big thanks for all the offers to help an awesome friend.. Peter thanks for everything

Pffft...where you been hiding? That's like ten braf clique points right there.

Where is this epic video?

ABC - If you're taking charge on the repair, it might be worth maintaining a list here so that people can help without buying duplicate parts.

I was expecting something very different from the title. Glad you are in one piece. I don't know you, but your humor in a trying situation is a boon to your character.:thumbup
And that dickish mommy/daddy comment has or will come back round to the sayer.

I guess we have differing standards of acceptable behavior. :nchantr

Well said, and so glad to see you back posting!! :love

Pretty sure I'm going to turn myself into a track junkie after this ...
:banana
+1
tracks are much better places to push it than on the street...when you blow a turn, there isn't a cliff, on coming car, patch of oil, or wall of rock waiting to greet you.

Dude, I hope you are really alright. Head, neck, and spine injuries sometimes take a little while to "show up". Take it easy, pay attention, and look after yourself.

And let us know when you are heading to the track. After my crash this summer (which also involved some superman style airborne time into a ravine), I came to the same conclusion: a lot more track time in my future!

Peter and I are currently heading back to the bay. Sort of stuck in traffic on 5...

Bike is definitely repairable, I think this will be a wonderful learning experience to rethink riding style a well as learning how to rebuild a bike. I honestly couldn't have asked for a better outcome.

Glad I flew off and survived
Glad my bike is screwed up just enough to fix

So nice seeing there are so many nice people out there willing to help.

Thanks abc, a female friend, Peter and everyone else :))

It was a wonderful weekend for me :thumbsup
