Missing person help

I hate to say this but is there any process that allows you to try and see if your father is a john doe somewhere? I really hope this isn't it but at least you can rule it out.

No. I've gathered enough evidence to lead me to believe he's no longer with us.

I am sorry you're in that space.

Friend sent me a pic of your missing poster on a light pole today. She said she is watching out.

Damn man. Such a tough spot.

Hugs.

Is that possible to get if the person in question is not available to sign?
.

Short answer is yes, but it's complicated. Basically have to get a conservatorship appointed by the Court.

Do you know if your Dad has an estate plan as in a will or a trust?

So sorry you are going through this!

OP, sorry that the circumstances led to this place.
I know you were hoping for a better outcome.

I feel for your loss OP.

:rose :rip

I don't envy you the next nightmare of trying to deal with his estate.

Losing a parent is hard enough. But to not even know how or why is just impossible to wrap my head around. I'm so sorry, Aaron.

So sorry you are going through this. Best wishes for peace and closure for you. :rip. :rose

I'm so sorry. My heart is breaking for you :(

Oh shit, man. Grieving with you from afar and having never met, but I wish you space and time to grieve. Thanks for letting us take on a bit of this with you.

I just looked at this thread. Really sorry you're going through all this. :(

thank you all for you kind words. need some time and some decent riding weather. his birthday is coming up so i'm trying to plan something to give memory to him.

Could your resources have helped in this situation?

Not anything I can think of. Not in my jurisdiction either.

OP, have you contacted the San Mateo County Sheriff's Officer since the initial report to inquire about the status of the case, and to inform them of your beliefs that he is likely deceased? You can request to submit a voluntary DNA sample that could help identify him from any John Doe cases. Maybe also sign a release for LE to obtain dental records as well.
