This bike is awesome; didn't want to give it back... :cry

Mt Hamilton Rd.

Caught up to a Highway Patrol Explorer with lights flashing. Didn't think passing him would be cool so I pulled over here to let him build a gap. 3 fire engines and 1 ambulance came down the hill.

San Antonio Valley Rd

The new bridge is open, but still under one-way traffic control.

The old bridge is still passable on a bike, but I assume they'll proceed to demolish it? All of a sudden it seems very narrow.

That's how I felt about the 990 Adv before I bought it and about the 1090 R that I have now. The bike feels great to ride pretty much anywhere. Makes me feel sorry for people who ride boring bikes.

Hwy 175 between Hopland & Kelseyville

first time on 175 today with DTM74 just ahead on his 701 - really nice road and great views. Saw the 18 wheeler that crashed down there yesterday - it was unreal!

Pilot Peak a bit north of Idaho City - elevation 8133 feet

This is what's on the top of the peak. Some sort of radio transmitters and a weather station. Plus a few thousand lady bugs that apparently spend the winter up there where there are no predators.

I'm gonna need snow tires if I go up there again this year. Still, I like the packed snow better than the slick mud - at least I can steer on the snow.

Mines Road

We rode by and stopped. They already had help on the way.

The chopper landed just as we turned the corner.

Then the Fire Trucks came and we were trapped so watched the activities.

All loaded up. The guy will be OK. His foot was not pointing in the right direction and needed serious attention. The father of a father/son duo unfortunately crashed a GSXR.

I really love that section of Palomares from right there for the next two miles or so. It feels great to just fly through there. :cool

Scott, aka Mr. Palomeras Rd to me. :laughing For me it's Caleveras-Felter-Sierra, though. Can't wait for Caleveras to reopen on 11/3.
