Speaking of the recent no-water issue, they finally finished the drywall and clean up in the garage. Wasn't really worried how long that was going to take because they did the same work on 6 homes and the water has been back on for about a week, which is what was most important.

Part of me wishes my landlord would have followed through on his empty threat of showing up at the house to collect rent. Interested in how he pictured that working out? Are you gonna force me to open up venmo, paypal? If I say no, then what? Gonna continue to deny my rights as a tenant?

My plan was to answer the door in my underwear and have porn playing on the main TV downstairs. Like, if you're going to a selfish ass about this situation, I'm gonna make it weird and uncomfortable.

This is true. But coffee is linked to a really bad memory and experience kinda hard to forget.

I'll have a frappucino every now and then if I'm on a road trip with friends and they insist on going to Starbucks.

So, this has been going on locally... Huge fire at Trabuco Canyon down here in Orange County.

Here's a couple pictures I took. One at night from my balcony, one during the day at the local park on my way home today when the fires were less visible because of the huge smoke cloud.

It looked like that scene from Independence Day before the first space ship breaks through the smoke cloud.

Hello from Eureka, it's a bit cooler here than where I started, like 25 degrees cooler. Also unlike last night, I'd say there's a higher than average chance of bed bugs in this motel. Everything will live.on elevated hard surfaces tonight.

Well if you're tired and fast asleep at the motel, the bed bugs aren't going to kill you. And you can always take a shower in the morning.

They don't actually stay on your person, they like hiding in books and crannies near the food source, so, the bed or anything near it is where to go to sleep and lay eggs

I know everything about bed bugs but that scientific point is less funny.

You're going to have to potentially enjoy them and the consequences but let me just have this funny vision in my head of you scrambling in your motel with bugs biting you before you continue on your journey.
