I would prefer the $ go to something accredited. If it’s internal training, it seems like a good way for business to siphon easy fed money for no real benefit to society.

Not really. Our leadership training is designed specifically for our industry which is very different than many other industries. They want leaders trained a certain way and it's a lot easier to do that in-house then spend the money for a certificate program through a standing post-secondary institution.
