DA RAIDAHZ?

oh and that contract SF signed Brooks to? Awesome. Baalke is doing a damn good job.

"pewter" is still pretty gay...

Yea, that's what I thought, the evening January 26, 2003, as they were running up and down the field, thinking to myself, these guys are gonna get tired of it at some point, but really, they didn't....

....is that supposed to be more "piratey" than gray or silver?

I believe the uniforms were designed by Disney, so yeah, in the Disney sense... "piratey". (Wouldn't pirates have had their grog or ale in pewter mugs?)

but imagine how much more traumatizing it would have been, if they still wore their orange and white gay swashbuckler outfits :laughing

I bet he ends up elsewhere. Just a hunch.

It's entirely possible. That execution of, "The Perfect Catch!" makes him a great pitch for a big starting job. With no decent TE to throw to, we'll miss him a LOT. The three recievers we have make the NY Passing attack almost unstoppable when going all out. There are just too many threats to cover. The 1 second pressure rush is the only way to stop that offense.

What about all the dumb teams?

It's true. If he gets a team that won't sniff that deeply into his Medical charts, should just have his agent demand Fitzgerald money, walk in with a tablet, play this:

and just mean mug the whole room saying nothing. :laughing

it's only 17.5M guaranteed.

any of you guys want to know what happened at the combine but didn't want to watch a bunch of guys running around in their underwear, this site has a lot of info: walter footbsll combine page

the stock reports and work out analyses are pretty good. they also do a boatload of updates on their mock draft

The 49ers wanted Mike Wallace but maybe they will settle for Hines Ward. Then #87 can go out with 1 more SB ring, bringing the 9ers even with the Steelers at 6. #ouch#Rooney

No. He was cut for a reason. Even Kyle Williams is a better use of a roster spot.

I'd be REALLY surprised if they give up a first rounder to sign Wallace, especially given the other talent that's not RFA.

I'm sticking with my Pierre Garcon prediction, but also wouldn't be surprised to see a guy like Stevie Johnson from Buffalo or Marques Colston from NO -- and they'll still draft a wideout as well because the draft class is pretty good even after Blackmon. Stephen Hill probably won't be there and I don't know if they'll use a 1st round pick on a WR anyway. I'd like Tommy Streeter from Miami in the 3rd or 4th.

Depends.

I think he does have another year or so in him, provided you actually need a 35 year old WR.

Didn't make sense for the Steelers to burn the roster spot, since they have more WRs than they know what to do with already.

But there might be a team out there that figures they can slap some retreads on him, make sure he lives in that oxygen tent, and get through one season.

I'm surprised Pit is releasing Ward. I know it's a binness, but damn that's cold blooded.

It is pretty harsh. I sort of expect that Franco is going to call him up and say "Et tu, Hines?"

:laughing

But not wholly unexpected...who needs 5 WRs? When they're way over the projected cap?

Really, really sucks, since I wanted to see him retire there, but I understand it.

Bengals receiver Jerome Simpson plead guilty to one count of prohibited acts relating to a controlled substance. (sounds like he has a great lawyer.) As I expected, the sentence should be really light: Dude is looking at maybe 60 days of jail time - with in and out work privileges - and 3 years probation. I still think he'll receive just probation and hundreds of hours of community service.

and Rod Woodson and Faneca too.

s'all right though...he can come to the Raiders and be treated as a player of his caliber should at the end of his career. :p
