The Official 2012 NFL Thread

He doesn't even try to hide how desperate he is to be relevant. Shockey should do the fun thing and sue the fat off Sapp. And what is shit about "Snitchin'". These are NFL players we are talking about, not ghetto-dwelling gangsters.

Have you MET NFL players?

Just for giggles, looks like Pat Robertson is calling on god to punish Denver. :laughing
“I think the Denver Broncos treated him shabbily. He won seven games, he brought them into the playoffs, for heaven sakes. I mean, they were a nothing team. He rallied them together with spectacular last-minute passes and, you know, when they beat Buffalo — I mean, Pittsburgh, excuse me — it was a tremendous victory.

“And you just ask yourself, okay, so Peyton Manning was a tremendous MVP quarterback, but he’s been injured. If that injury comes back, Denver will find itself without a quarterback. And in my opinion, it would serve them right.”

Seriously, they are doing shit right. Baalke, Harbaugh, and Paraag Marathe (the guy negotiating the actual $ contracts) are killing it. The Smith deal is absolutely brilliant especially considering the crap contracts that Fitzpatrick, Sanchez, and Flynn got.

I love the Josh Johnson deal, too. Harbaugh coached him in San Diego, Gruden drafted him in Tampa, but then got fired and Johnson was shoved into a backup role cause they went away from the WCO.

further proof SF front office is large and in charge: http://www.csnbayarea.com/football-...for-less-than-Reds?blockID=675658&feedID=2539

or maybe it's further proof Snyder is a d-bag? lol, could be either.

agree, agree

and harbaugh and his qbs are best buds again harbaugh racquetball outing. everything is back to normal in ninerland.

and since it's been a while...

WHO'S GOT IT BETTER THAN US?

come on, you know you want to :party

Yeah, any fan of the nfl can see that sf is making solid moves. They needed wr help: they'd got it. Upgrade or resign Qb: done. Pretty much have the same defense. That's all you can ask for as a fan.

So, what happened? Did the Yorks secretly sell the team to a REAL owner or is it Harbaugh is such a strong personality that he's taken over and pushed them into the background so far that they no longer have influence on what the team does? :laughing

Something tells me Uncle Eddie may be advising the little York-ster....

Baalke and Marathe are bad ass, and they don't have Nolan or Singletary fucking things up.

Also York Sr and Denise Debartolo York turned over operations to Jed, who seems to actually be doing a good job running the team instead of just being happy to be in the exclusive "NFL Team Owners" club like his dad.

WHO'S GOT IT BETTER THAN US?

THESE GUYS!!!!

April 16th is the official start of the 2012 season. then that shit is "officially last season" history and you can rest happy knowing your team won't repeat and will be relegated to not even making the Conference Championship game. since there' will be no suspense you won't have to bother stressing over it! enjoy the Eagles winning the East. NY can't get that lucky two seasons in a row although they can, apparently, get that lucky 2x in a 5 year period.

Like it or not the Giants will be the NFL Champions until sometime in January 2013. They get to enjoy that all year. But yeah, my money is on the Eagles to win it that Division this year. Hopefully Vick gets hurt in the process. Maybe I'll offer a bounty.

"Who's got it better than us?" Don't ask a question if you can't handle the answer, Boys. Until 2012 has gone on long enough to prove otherwise, there is one sure fire as answer to the question who has.

Maybe you should find a new war cry in the meantime. :laughing

of course, you realize i saw knew that was coming... and didn't care :x :p

A real Niner fan wouldn't care and a smart one wouldn't try and argue with me either. You seem to fall into both catagories. :laughing

You know, mid-season if the Eagles are dominating at 8-1 and the Giants are struggling at 4-5 while the Niners own the NFC West at 7-2 over all the other 3-6 teams in the Division, I'd say they might have it better than us, but for now, I KNOW who has it better than them. I was at that game. :teeth

San Francisco 49ers reached agreement with former Giants running back Brandon Jacobs.

Huh.

SF is loading up for a postseason run...I love it when the teams I root for do that. Since Oak won't even be in the conversation (again...as usual), I wish the 9ers good fortune with their push.

The Niners signed a whole lot of bark and absolutely no bite with this signing. GOD DAMNIT!!!:facepalm

if he replaces norris, he's an upgrade. a big back that can actually do something in short yardage.

meanwhile, the owners extended the post season overtime rules to the regular season and all turnovers will be automatically reviewed.

also, mcshay updated his mock: he has the niners taking stephen hill in the 1st, kelechi osemele in the 2nd
