The Official 2016/2017 NFL Thread

In other fun Championship history either Pats or Steelers, whoever makes it to the Big Game this year ,will be the single record holder for most Superbowl appearances (9). If the Pats make it and lose, they will be tied with the Broncos for most Superbowl losses (5).

Yay for a Pat's loss then!!!

(aside: pretty damn sad when playoffs hopes hinge on teams losing rather than winning...fits the theme of the times though)

Patriots are more impressive because their title run only started after season ticket holder (since 1971!) Robert Kraft bought the team in 1994. That dude loves his Pats.

(the '85 Bears were up 44-3 on the Patriots in the Super Bowl, so we'll forget that happened trolol).

Most SB losses will be lost in anals of history.

Yeah, but how do you compete with this?!

AFC East is hardly a bunch of Clevelands. Way back in the Stone Age The Jets and the 'Fins managed to win a Superbowl before dirt was invented. And the Bills at least managed to get AFC'd 4 Superbowls in a row in like the 80's, which is a pretty impressive feat.
.

My quote only refers to the last decade, not an overall history of those teams in the NFL. In the past ten seasons the Bills have had one winning season, the Dolphins just two, and the Jets just five. That is horrendous football and is a large reason why NE has won 11 or more games a year for like a decade now. Even with the dismal team that Cleveland has fielded as of late, the AFC North has been a far superior and more challenging Division to win. There is no question in my mind that if NE had to play Pitt, Balt and Cincy twice a year for the past ten seasons, their record wouldnt be what it is today. That isnt to say they still wouldnt be a very dominant, SuperBowl winning franchise. But in the North, they wouldnt have been playing a bunch a women six times a year.

AFC East...two teams in playoffs
AFC North...one team in playoffs

:laughing

As the great Betrayer is indicating, everyone from that part of the Country knows it. Eagles fans are the fucking worst. It isn't like I just make this shit up. I'm not picking on them, they have a culture as fans that PRIDES themselves on being the worst. Jersey and Penn get it the worst, because two of the great old franchises of the NFL share those states with them, but DC people know it, Boston people know it.

I think Baltimore and Buffalo people would be more aware, but they don't NFC as much, so mainly they hate the Jets fans, who are also mainly subhumans, although not to the horrifying level of Eagles fans. Something is seriously fucking wrong with football people in green, I don't know what that is. :|

Just to prove you are full of shit:

2006 thru 2016:

AFC East....370 wins
AFC North...357 wins

:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl

:laughing

There is no reasoning with someone who thinks the Bungholes are worthy of support. They are the original Ravens in the sense that Paul Brown ditched his Cleveland team to start a new one in Chichinati. Then they let the late, great Bill Walsh leave to join the 49ers. Now they have a stellar roster and can't even put together a winning season (and this was the season when they were supposed to finally get it done).

Fucking. Priceless. :laughing

Christy is a cowboys fan? BURN HIM AT THE ALTER! Let the fat of the swine lite the fires of H A T E !

Upside: the fat that feeds the flame is enough to keep Eagles fans warm until they make it to the playoffs again.

Downside: the stench of hamburgers, fries, milkshakes, and donuts will drive them even more deeply into depravity at the same time.

Yeah, this came out like 2 years ago when he was seen at a Cowgirls game as a guest of Jerry Jones. As the Governor of NJ, to represent as a Cowboys fan, I utterly lost faith in him as a politician and potential Presidential candidate. Any politician from Joisey has an obligation to be a Giants fan, but if they are from the BAD half of the state, they could reasonably represent as an Eagles fan, since the population there usually does. To defy the entire state and go for Dallas? Fuck that guy. He was fucking born in Newark for chrissakes.

Quinn apparently told the Falcons that Shanahan is getting the Niners job.

Green Bay gave Wolf a new contract and a raise to stay, and it sounds like Niners will be hiring Gutekunst instead.

I like it.

You like Gutekunst over McDonough?

To be honest, the only GM candidate that I didn't like was Gamble :laughing

Besides him, really their entire list has been really good.

Bloody hell, 49ers. Spend some dosh.

Damn I was totally wrong about Joey Bosa, I thought he was going to be a dud. Instead Bosa led all rookies with 10.5 sacks in only 12 games.

10.5 sacks in only 12 games is straight ballin'
