I don't quite agree but I can understand the sentiment. Like I said in my previous post, I wish Benson would win fights more dominantly (If he can). He did like he always does. Drags the fight out all 5 rounds and he is good at that. I gave round 1 and 2 to Thomson easily and the last 3 to Benson. I will say that I think he deserved the win because a lesser fighter would have been caught in a submission easily from Thomson having that back control and body triangle. And Benson fought that off not once but 3 times and I found that to be impressive. I thought the fight was over every time he was in that bad position but he still got out of it. But he picked up the pace a little bit in the last 3 when Thomson seemed to be slowing down. So whatever. idk

Lamas needed one more round, overroids and mir both looked like amateurs and herb dean botched a stoppage and beat up my wallet.

Mir is one of my favorites, but it's time to retire. Hes older now, and in addition didbt keep up with the game

Jitsu is simply not the force it once was in mma. It can't really be your main tool any longer, if you are to win (broadly speaking). It's obviously an important and integral tool, but jitsu specialists don't carry the same power they once did

He has a great deal to teach others and as many guys do toward the end opened a gym and continue to influence others.
