why cancel the event? why not put it on FX? and move someone else up as main event or pull someone from another even up? like the Pettis/Cerrone fight - i would watch that fight card for sure.. this fight card is pretty stacked and will have good fights for the fans..
i see JBJ's point but i also see the UFC's point... so who loses? UFC and the fans.. not JBJ (he still got the belt)...
Chris Weidmann also offered to fight him... Lyoto Machida turned down the fight and now Vitor is fighting him? another 185er... who's got a more punching power than Chael...
 
Well, seeing as the UFC is connected to casino owners, I'm sure betting is involved somehow. And with a huge fight like that gone, it probably screwed the bookies n' shit. I dunno.

Plus, I dunno if a network can shuffle their lineup at the last minute like that. I think the logistics get really boned when something like this happens.
 
Mr. Bones will be fighting Saturday evening along with some good matches prior to the main event.
My bet goes with Bones once again.

it's always a good time (long as you leave immediately after the fights are over)
 
My husband hunts with Chad Mendez. He almost got in a brawl with him during turkey hunting season over "turf rights"; thank God that guys like Chad are quite zen in their off hours.:laughing
 
At least from what I see on facebook, there are more than a handful of UFC watching parties at bars, hosted by MMA schools in the Sacramento area. So... what do you mean only place in Sacto? What place?

The only sports bar that I know of because I am not connected on facebook to any of the mma schools.

I always go to Barwest on J Street.
Food sucks, people are ok but the fights and pre lims are always shown.

So many dudes deserve this more then this tool.

That said, I bet he will be a great coach, as he does have a strong work ethic and he isn't stupid by any means. I will enjoy seeing both of them coaching, but sheesh, the guy is going to get creamed by Jones.
 
Chael is gonna make Jones cry with his words. :laughing But likely won't beat him in the cage. Jones is unlikable and unmarketable so they need Chael to bring in viewership.
 
I don't know about all the Jones Hate. Dudes the best in his division we have ever seen by a long shot. He's destroyed everyone in the division rather easily. His skills are absurd for his lack of experience. All dudes with knockout power and far more experience. He';s beat every kind of fighter they have thrown at him, many on fairly short notice and with not a lot of time to recuperate between fights!

Sheesh, he's just a kid. Going to make some mistakes along the way. Compare him to Sonnen, and all his bagage and I don't understand the dislike?

Makes for interesting drama, and peeps are entitled to their own outlook on it, I just don't get it?

Is it because he got drunk and crashed his car? Can't say I have done that, but many of my friends have!

The list of the dudes this guy has humiliated are all top notch. And he's only 25 years old! The only guy you can prepare him to is Anderson Silva. Really. Who else can do what this guy does?
 
I think cuz he has a god complex. I mean, most of these dudes have a huge ego, but for some reason, his comes off as bigger and more fragile. Like it or not, one's persona outside the ocatagon/off the field/track, etc influences what people thing about that person. He's great inside the cage, but comes off like an overly-sensitive twat outside it.
