Thoughts on SUV?

I work for a dealer. So if you wanna test drive the RDX, I'll be happy to set you up with my best salesperson to help you out.

honest, we will test drive up here and then I'll schedule with you to purchase if we go that direction... if that's cool with you!

The HEMI V8 gets around 20 mpg. Not exactly a guzzler for something with 400 hp and 410 ft/lbs of torque.

edit - looks like the one they put in the Jeep GC is 360 hp / 390 torque / 22mpg

It's a variant of the ZF 8HP made by ZF Friedrichshafen AG (Gear Factory). it debuted in the 12 cyl 7 series. It can handle 700 Nm torque...

Chrysler licensed it in 13 and in collab started producing it alongside ZF in the USofA and started putting it in the V8 JGC in 2014.

It currently lives in:
2008+ BMW 7 Series (F01), 2009+ BMW X5 (E70), Dodge Durango V8, Iveco Daily, 2014+ Jeep Grand Cherokee V8 & diesel, Ram 1500 V6 - V8 & diesel, 2012 Range Rover Sport, Rolls-Royce Phantom, 2013+ Maserati Quattroporte, 2015+Dodge Charger V8, and the 2015+ Dodge Challenger V8

My kid is big into Jeeps, so at the car show I checked out one of the new semi-decked out wranglers...$45+K!!!
Not to mention $40K+ for any random v8 challenger/cuda with complete garbage interior and a hood about 20 feet long. Dodge/Chrysler has such nice looking cool options but the user experience and build quality is still the pits.

Oooooo, same trans as the Ram 1500 Diesel?

I'm interested again.

I can't see that having enough payload for you.

By "you" I mean "the uses I would expect you to put a truck through"

I wasn't implying you were fat.

I mean you are fat, but I didn't see any reason to imply it-it seemed irrelevant.

I would just go and call you fat if I felt the need.

Fattie.

Interesting. Gracias!

Baffling, but I read somewhere that acura ranked lowest on customer satisfaction and mercedes highest...I'd swear it's backwards.

people that buy an acura wish they could buy a mercedes and are sad when they realize they didn't, as such are dissatisfied. people that buy a mercedes are patting themselves on the back because they bought a Mercedes Benz, having marked the end of the warranty on their calendar so they can sell before it is up.

customer satisfaction surveys, especially Initial Customer Satisfaction, are bullshit.

The first part makes sense, but shouldn't the mercedes people be unhappy when their car takes ten trips to the shop for every trip an acura makes?

Matt, Macan Turbo or GTFO

have the same transmission? I guess it's possible, but I find it hard to believe.

Not sure why you feel it's hard to believe

have you sat in a Rolls? The moment you do, you know where the value is coming from. :laughing But if I went with a Rolls I would have to find 95 octane gas :|

Phantom Specs:
Engine
6.75 L V12 453 bhp (338 kW)

Transmission
ZF 6-speed automatic
ZF 8-speed automatic

Bassem, I would buy a Macan over a Range any day of the week!

We've taken a hit recently because the 2014+ MDX hasn't exactly been a shining star with recalls, electrical gremlins, noises, and general shitty build quality. Still sells extremely well though...go figure.

But the 2013+ RDX has done really well with the initial quality though. If I actually wanted a SUV, I'd seriously have it on the short list.
