May lose 10mm sockets if distracted
Matt, Macan Turbo or GTFO
Get on the waiting list now. Maybe you'll have one before year's end.

Kay....uh....why?
Not sure why you feel it's hard to believe
have you sat in a Rolls? The moment you do, you know where the value is coming from. But if I went with a Rolls I would have to find 95 octane gas :|
Phantom Specs:
Engine
6.75 L V12 453 bhp (338 kW)
Transmission
ZF 6-speed automatic
ZF 8-speed automatic
Bassem, I would buy a Macan over a Range any day of the week!
I can't see that having enough payload for you.
By "you" I mean "the uses I would expect you to put a truck through"
I wasn't implying you were fat.
I mean you are fat, but I didn't see any reason to imply it-it seemed irrelevant.
I would just go and call you fat if I felt the need.
Fattie.

Transmission Model number don't really say a lot when it comes to quality. the internals are the crucial factor.
Obviously there are only few ZF transmission around, but the differ in broad range depending on vehicle requirements.
this - at the end of the day this. She's tossing between the smart economical choice (the accord) and the "splurge" choice. She's never owned a "nice" car before so it weigh on her pretty heavy.
I would expect a transmission marked with a specific model number to have the same internals regardless of vehicle application. Different shift programming and lock-up RPM's, certainly, but the hardware should be essentially identical.
ZF told us the problems were entirely due to software and not to anything mechanical, but it would not comment on what specific improvements it was making, as “ZF works independently with each customer based on their needs.”
She works at Yahoo, right? Get the economical car. Trust me.![]()

not necessarily. Why would a manufacture pay double or more for a 1000 NM rated Transmission if the application they intend to install it only requires 500 NM.
Still the same transmission design, but the internals are lower spec and calibration/software are not as refined and top notch
yes, to an extent. But I can't imagine there being significant differences in internals across the 8 or so different vehicles.
fwiw
the Rolls Royce is rated to 530Nm and the JGC is rated to 700Nm...

I know I'm getting into this late but I gotta ask...
Where in the hell did you find an Overland Summit for under $40K?![]()
A baby changes a lot of things.
You sure you want to spend that much money with twins on the way?
I'm not sure you could get both car seats comfortably in some of the SUVs out there.
A minivan would have room for the triplets though, and all the associated baby stuff.
Either way, I hope it's a better ownership experience than her last car. Good luck with the quadruplets!

I think chicks just want that false security of sitting higher than traffic.
She's been side swiped and her car has been rear ended 4 times in the last 3 years... I'm positive this has something to do with her desire to get a bigger car.
