Maybe. I think the non-updated cars will hold value pretty well compared to updated cars given the MPG change (assumed).
And emission parts life will probably be better too.

Haha! Ken...I'm on your side! The consensus seems to be that the cars with completed recalls (When that fix is formalized) will lose MPG and thus...why update your car? Like the pre 2009 Dodge Ram's!

I'm still waiting for my VAG gift card they promised me![]()

I think you will be waiting for a long time for a VAG gift card.

I have my 2 $500 cards, haven't activated them yet. I need a 40k service and tires so those cards will get most if that.

I input my vin a while ago and followed their process at the link below, took about 3 weeks. I did a lot of research and although there are those that are afraid accepting the cards will somehow be turned against you for any further action, I feel confident after reading lots places it will not be an issue.

I slightly disagree with you. They way they wrote the legal language it currently won't affect you but if they get a specific outcome from the trial (judge order / settlement) there is a good chance you will be exempt.
Also I believe the offer is expired now.
that is the language of the credit card company, not VW. That has been hammered to death. believe what you want.
if it will make you feel better you should spend the dozens of hours I spent keeping up with this insane thread (below) when the customer packages were first rolled out. All the issues were discussed, reviewed by lawyers, calls and letters to VW, etc.
The thread devolved to bullshit after it was agreed upon by most the cards posed no liability and there was nothing to do but measure dicks and complain about shit.
