Apparently this Brough Superior could be worth upwards of a $1,000,000 (supposedly it had some special history and Lawrence of Arabia had one)

I helped un-trailer that Bugati or one that looks just like it. Ken Behring of Behring auto museum bought it when I was in middle school about 13 years ago. I remember being told it was the most expensive car.

Nobody said it had to be produced right? Youtube Video Added for reference

well, no. it's not a coupe. notice the distinct lack of roof required for a "coupe" designation. it's nominally a Model T

that's a very well done car. 3 strombergs (i assume), a hemi and skinny tires... must be a handfull to keep it pointed in the right direction. who built it?

Sort'a correct. Not a Coupe, and not a duece ('32). It's a 1929 Roadster Pickup, built by Pinkee's
http://pinkeesrodshop.com/projects/default.aspx

While it won't be anywhere near as nice as this one, We're building a '27 'high cab' Pickup at my work right now. :)

About 13 years ago is I think when all six of the Royale were at Laguna - the first time ever. They were around $41,000 when new - which is around $5M today. Mr. B., had his for a long time prior to that.

Royale were only sold to royalty (after you passed an interview with Ettore himself.) The 'left over,' Royale engines were later used to power TRAINS in France when the railroads were nationalized.

All six of the Royale are different. Pretty sure Mr. Behring bought his two from and after Bill Harrah's death: the two Bill H., found on the Bugatti family property that were hidden when France was invaded. Great book with outstanding images Memoirs of a Bugatti Hunter with images of a hawt female race driver named Hélène Delangle (google her :teeth ) I wonder what ever happened to Bill Harrah's Jeep Wagoneer with the Ferrari engine.

They have quite a mystique about them including inspiring a couple of books including The Seventh Royale is a murder mystery about, well duh, a fictional 7th car, Hitler, Mormons, and German pre-war pron.

If someone wants to suggest a date - I'm up to docent another BARF tour of the BH museum.

Max, I saw the V-12 Wagoneer at the National Auto Museum in Reno a couple years back. Probably still there.

Great - I have a different appreciation for the Jerrari/Feep or whatever they called it as I'm a lot older.

BTW: I didn't think anyone actually ever read that far into my little dissertations - Thanks :thumbup

^^damn...now thats one hell of a picture list...lots of :drool
