Cars that make your jaw drop.

The 100th Pike's Peak Hillclimb is over. The M3 was updated over the last year. More downforce, updated rear suspension instead of stock geometry, a new carbon body, and some more power.
They did run all the way up this year, but it was foggy at the top. James was actually 6 seconds ahead of Rhys Millen in the first 3 sectors, but he backed off a bit when the visibility was limited. He was following the white line. So, 2nd place in class, 10th or 11th overall.
He's lobbying for an invite to Goodwood next year. I am lobbying to tag along.

A shame that Ken Block's car broke. I'm curious how they'd match up.

Alpha Motors Ace and Saga.

Fucking cool looking EVs. Almost remind me of old Datsuns sorta.

Hope they make it.

Those renders look great!

Don't expect them to get built.

The people involved with the company have a track record of vaporware EVs that do nothing but soak up investor cash.

Yeah, which is too bad (but they've been doing it for years, I posted the Alpha JAX previously, maybe 2 years ago?).

yep. its an old body too, i bet the jz replaced a SBC.

2jz in old american cars is a bit of a fad at the moment from what i gather. i applaud

I saw a Frankensteined 4 rotor under the hood of a C5 Corvette at SEMA last year, so I guess everyone is bored of LS swapping everything. Even cars that had an LS already.

That 2JZ bucket is really cool. Thanks for posting auntiebling.

I suspect we'll be seeing a lot more LS swapped things thanks to the e-rod system.

I don't know if I like this or hate this...

Probably hate...

I much prefer this Renault.

:thumbup

To be fair, Renault has shown concepts for an EV that isn't based on an 80's hatchback.

Apparently they are working on platform sharing with Nissan, so we might get some version of the above in a few years time.

Hopefully. But that exhaust will count against them. It's definitely a racing mod.
BTW December 3 & 4 at Sear's Point this year. Def time to get a team together.
