Man that got my blood pumping! He definetley had the course dialed.
That was SWEET:cool.

So where are the best trails in the san bruno, Millbrae, burlingame area? Next time I come into town to check on the renters Ill be shipping my bike. I never had time to ride much when I lived there full time, but living in Alaska has been epic for it

This is the sickest DH run I have ever seen. I'm awestruck.

Just watch.

fast for sure. a couple yrs ago i saw sam racing when i was in keystone, colorado. I'm thinking this was when he was still on madcatz iron horse, but he was fast then. He seemed to have a problem crashing a lot though, much like steve smith does today. He was just pushing it so hard, he would wreck pretty regularly. I think if smith can stay on the bike, and stay healthy, he's going to be the next sam hill.

I might do a loop at Chabot today OR 2 lower loops of China Camp... if any of ya'll wanna join:)

Downieville this weekend

Is there a plan?

How many DH runs are you guys gonna try and get in?

Anyone gonna do a pre-run of the XC course?

When are you planning on being in town again? I'd be up for a good 15 or so miles at El Corte De Madera one of these days.

Keep me / us posted!

downieville. xc course this saturday. we can do an XC run, then climb from paulie back to butcher for a DH run.

:loco I've been trying for 3 weeks to find a decent used bike without luck. Looking for a 18" med - 19.5 large FR/AM bike with at least 6 inches of travel and decent components... Gotta be plush and take a hit but has to be able to climb. Looking to spend about 2k..

Craigslist sellers are so goddamn flaky , either asking too much or not replying at all. I think I am just going to end up holding out and getting a new Heckler. I just want to ride dammit :party

Roxy - What's the respective mileage on those runs? I'm thinking China Camp or Rockville this weekend.

We did Annadel this past Saturday - a good 20 miles. It was fookin' hot...

We ended our ride at around...2:30? And Rick...Chabot loop is about...13ish miles, pretty boring ride, but a decent workout. China Camp is about 10ish for one loop if you bypass the missile silo

The lower loop of China Camp is ~10miles -- the backside loop is ~13 miles.

The Chabot loop I do is either 12, 13 or 20 miles:

Start: Clyde Woolridge Staging Area

> Goldenrod > Bass Cove > West Shore > 10 Hills > Brandon > Jackson Grade >> 12 miles

> Goldenrod > Bass Cove > West Shore > 10 Hills > Brandon > Red Tail > Grass Valley > Jackson Grade >> 13 miles

> Goldenrod > Bass Cove > West Shore > 10 Hills > Brandon > Red Tail > Grass Valley > McDonald > Parkridge Drive > Skyline > Golden Rod >> 20 miles

Anyone know a place I can get a 26 tooth small ring and a 36 tooth big ring that will fit a Truvative FireX A1 crankset? I think I need a little more top gear for Downieville.

I felt really good on the DV climb this time - good enough to see what I want to do in the XC race. Looks like the guy who finished 2nd in my last XC race @ Fort Ord (I finished 4th, 5 seconds behind 3rd) won it two years ago, and was top 5 last year.
