We ended our ride at around...2:30? And Rick...Chabot loop is about...13ish miles, pretty boring ride, but a decent workout. China Camp is about 10ish for one loop if you bypass the missile silo

Andrew - awesome good times man. Good seeing you and Super M again. Seeing that I have to be somewhere Saturday early evening - we are stiking with a short, local ride - Rockville. Probably loop it a few times to make it worthy...

El Charro Mexican Restaurant is Boss!! I ate everything off the plate.

The lower loop of China Camp is ~10miles -- the backside loop is ~13 miles.

The Chabot loop I do is either 12, 13 or 20 miles:

Start: Clyde Woolridge Staging Area

> Goldenrod > Bass Cove > West Shore > 10 Hills > Brandon > Jackson Grade >> 12 miles

> Goldenrod > Bass Cove > West Shore > 10 Hills > Brandon > Red Tail > Grass Valley > Jackson Grade >> 13 miles

> Goldenrod > Bass Cove > West Shore > 10 Hills > Brandon > Red Tail > Grass Valley > McDonald > Parkridge Drive > Skyline > Golden Rod >> 20 miles

Cool! I'd like to take my hardtail out there for a 12-13 miler...

We're doing Rockville on Saturday - just a quickie. My ole' yellar is officially for sale - since I got this yesterday... :) I've defected.

LIVESTRONG Challenge San Jose

Last year I raised funds for the Portland LIVESTRONG Challenge. I support the Lance Armstrong Foundation because during my melanoma scare they were there for me without any hesitation. This year I'm raising funds for the LIVESTRONG Challenge in San Jose which is less than 1 week away.

Asking for a donation is not my favorite thing, but it is for a really good cause. If you would like to support my efforts, there is a link at the bottom of the page that will bring you to the LIVESTRONG Challenge site.

Thank you in advance for your time and generosity.

Today High 103:wow/Low 69

Thursday 99/66

Friday 95/63

Saturday High 100/64 -- XC race is gonna be scorchin'

Sunday High 92/60

Looking at www.recreation.gov, there are no more online reservations at Wild Plum, which is where most late-to-reserve people seem to be staying. I hope Scotty can get us something - there are only 8 first-come, first-serve sites available there right now.

Might be time to bandit camp?

Jimmy! What are you doing up there? I think we're meeting up in front of the gas station around 10 AM on Friday morning.

Sounds like an adventure for everyone, have fun! :wow

You're not kidding. So many questions running through my head right now.

- Are we going to be able to find a campsite?

- Do I bring one bike or both bikes?

- How will the descent be on my XC bike?

- Will I have any problems doing a tubeless tire swap between my bikes on site?

- How will the new gearing be on the AM bike?

- Will 120 oz of water be enough in 100 degree temps?

- Do I grid at the front and try to stick with the breakaway group in the XC race?

To exacerbate the situation, I'll probably slam a Monster on the starting line. I'm really, really, REALLY looking forward to this :)
