i'd like to get set up for around 2 grand. i realize this is less than the cost of most nice xc/freeride bikes which is why i'm hoping someone here might know of a good deal in the area. appreciate the input!!!
immortal, that is a SICK bike but bigger than what I'm looking for right now. smoking deal though! i really cant believe no one has jumped on that.
i've used my powers of bike magic create awesomeness.
Will we be seeing you out at the bailey bike park dual slalom next time?
I got a smaller rotor and bracket if ya want one too.
Dang, guess I've got to get my ass out to carlmont.
Correct! Just match the fork to the headset. So i have a question...
kinda new at the bike modding thing, im getting sick of the pos fork on my giant, im wanting to upgrade to a fox fork, 6inch travel or so..
what specs do i need to look at to make sure it fits? here are the specs to my bike: http://www.bikepedia.com/Quickbike/BikeSpecs.aspx?Year=2009&Brand=Giant&Model=Brass+SX&Type=bike
im pretty sure all i need to do is make sure the headset matches the fork correct?
help me out a lil fellas
Correct! Just match the fork to the headset.
That link says 1-1/8", so look for a fork with a 1-1/8" steerer tube. Just make sure it's long enough. You should probably measure yours so you know how long you need. If it's longer, you can cut it or have it cut. Shorter is no bueno.
If you're interested in a Fox Float 36, I know someone that may be willing to sell one.
