EBike Bicycle do you have one?

This is awesome for the "trendster" hipster Lambretta scooter crowd yes ?

Such as short handsome guys living and working in cities. Like my former boss. :wow :later

Sounds about right.

I picked up my bike yesterday and am going for a ride shortly.
It was $5599, on "sale" because of overstock and a 2022 model.
Intense Tazer MX.
https://intensecycles.com

Pretty screaming deal.

The idea of spend $5k on any type of bicycle is a little mind boggling to me, but I hope you dig it and get what you want out of it.

Awesome two and a half hour ride today. Lots of vertical, maybe 20 miles. Some new skills to learn. Still was panting after some steeps. Used most the battery; I was on max boost. Of course.

Not just a bicycle.

I'm interested at some point as well as at 64 I am hardly a dedicated lycra clad bicyclist and a this point the once a week 20 mile ride to Sebastopol and back on my Kona MB that I put hybrid tires on or my 1971 Schwinn Super Sport I bought as a youngster is about it though we might toss in an additional 13 mile ride to total 33 or so miles.

My buddy and I are noodling ebikes that you can still efficiently pedal to extend our max ride distance to perhaps double what we do now as soon, maybe, you can pedal from Santa Rosa to Petaluma and back on bike trails next to the Smart train tracks.

Or maybe from Santa Rosa to Forestville and back on trials.

No way I'm riding on any busy streets as having cars zing by at 60+ is no longer something I'm willing to brave all that much.

1971 Schwinn Super Sport? Pics or it doesn't exist

so it's been two weeks and I have put 125 miles on the Tazer... My goodness it is fun add opens up all sorts of cool trails. Game Changer. 29" front and 27" rear wheel and Olins suspension it handles rather well. Tomorrow Wilder Ranch single track...

Also, for us old crippled folks, I read somewhere e bikes can be classified as a "mobility device"...

Here you go.

In HS I removed the heavy side stand (have no idea where it is) and cut off the dorky second set of "assist" brake handles that were parallel to the handlebar cross bar.

I also got a screaming deal on it as it was a Demo. But it only had 50 miles of use. I've almost doubled that in three rides and I haven't ridden a bike in a long time due to knee issues.

Still trying to figure it all out and whatnot but so far I frigging love this bike.

Here you go.

My that looks uncomfortable.
I had Johnny Moore put a lady seat on my Intense Tazer. Rocks.

Not only a Tazer, but an INTENSE TAZER. Pretty cool name. And really, an Intense Tazer MX...

:laughing

The leather brooks saddle is actually very comfortable but there is no "shock absorption" to speak of in the tires so that does get tiresome on the wrists.

Brooks, B51, or something?
I think I have run Girly seats on all my mtn bikes, since the first Mt Fuji back in '83. Fuck, I am old.

The INTENSE TAZER makes me young.

Butch, a cool Wilder Loop is to start on Swift St, go through the neighbourhood up into UCSC and then down through Wilder. There are some monster runoff ruts on some of the trails. If you like Coffee, Cat and Cloud on Swift St. makes a good cup.

Have fun!

I was gonna ride with the Santa Cruz Mtn Bikers meetup folks but missed my window of opportunity to be there at the right time.

I think I will head over to Stevens Creek Canyon and ride up to Montebello... I could ride a motorcycle but... nah.

This past days I discovered Amazon sells $359 and a $649 complete e-bikes and e-mtbs of some random brands. :wtf

That’s fine.

They do sell new ones should one want them

We got his and hers Hecklers just about one year ago now. Absolutely love them.

We're long time recreational mountain bikers. We ride here and in Arizona. These are game changers as age creeps up on us.

Some of our favorite local off-road rides are Calero County Park, Almaden QuickSilver County Park, Harvey Bear Ranch, Henry Coe State Park, UCSC, Wilder Ranch, Nisene Marks and Fort Ord.

I am trying to hit up all the places I have not been in years.
Iv'e done some Grant Ranch, Sierra Vista, Alum Rock Park, John Nicholas, Stevens Creek (er, lots there, not done), UCSC, Wider...

We must ride. Though once the conditions are premium, DIRT BIKES!!! And then, sportbikes? And fit in motards, eh?

We live like kings.

I did Mt Umunhum yesterday; 8 miles and 2300 vertical up. Beauty trail. We took the road down to eliminate interfacing with the hikers. We actually stopped and let ikers pass on the ride up. They were all very friendly.

and yeah, the road down was a blast. Nice surface, nice turns. 42.5 mph coasting... The Intense handles quite well, and the Magura brakes perform...

This is the Santa Cruz Mtn Bikers Meetup ride I missed...

We'll start at the large map display, just north of the tunnel under Hwy 1 and just south of the rodeo grounds. Our route will take us up and around the Cowboy Loop and then up Englesman trail to its end. From there we'll take the Wild Boar trail and go down and up across Old Cabin trail to Lower Eucalyptus Loop trail. After that we'll drop into Enchanted Loop and back up. After that we'll climb Chinquapin fire road up to the top of Long Meadow near Twin Gates, and then descend back down to the top of Englesman Trail, for a fun singletrack back down to our start point

reference:
Class 1: have only pedal assistance up to 20mph.
