Ironically, ethanol contains LESS energy than gasoline, and it's actually more expensive than the gasoline itself, so were looking at higher prices, and lower MPG due to ethanol containing less energy. So it's hardly green or economical.

Ethanol also attracts moisure, which is bad for fuel systems!
 
Well if there isn't enough oompf in the ethanol gas, you can always add a little vitriol from this thread.

Agreed. This is indicative of the general discussion in this country: everyone is is so ready to find blame and pin it to a particular person that they aren't finding the root cause and doing something about it. No one is prepared to ask the simplest "why is this happening?". Instead we retreat to "if it is bad, it must be the fault of the liberals/conservatives/socialists/Tea Party.
