I bet Harbaugh can talk Smith into staying, the Niners need him. The NFL has proven over and over again, if you have a QB that likes to run, you need a good #2 QB. :p
 
No matter what Smith says "for the team" etc you can see he isn't going to stay as 49ers backup QB, by his body language and between the lines well before today's headlines

If he had any unrattled brains left he'd stay 9ers backup QB for the same salary+benefits as a MUNI driver. he's been around like 8 or 9 years now, why not take the fewer concussions and ride with a SB team to retirement and local glory? I guess that in no way computes for anyone at this level of overpaid powermad. He need to have that tens of millions more dollars and that frontman glory, gonna take AZ to 5 Lombardis before he's through, sure sure Alex
 
Meanwhile I just saw that ABC 7 on Your Side guy doing an unscientific poll of dozens of PO'd 49ers season ticket holders who say the 9ers season ticket holder lottery for SB XLVII tix is rigged to give all the tix to travel agency kickbackers doing purely high roller and scalper biz. 49ers were not forthcoming whatsoever but the NFL says both the 9ers & the Ravens get 12,250 tix each to do whatever they want with (including PO all their season ticket holders)

Reminds me of a story I heard about Katy Perry. Instead of giving surplus tix or the hundreds or more the gets per show, her and her crew put them on Stubhub for extra 10s of $1k a per show.

I dunno. They always say its because the Jets are in NY is why you hear about them even when they're not winning. Lazy reporters. For some reason, not a lot of ink about where a linebacker from the KC Chiefs was seen drinking last weekend. But Jets get the TMZ treatment.
 
New England-based ESPN is notoriously east-coast biased. Had Kaepernick played for Jersey-B, the whole sporting world would have heard about him the minute he got a start. Instead, the questions being asked to Colin during this week are pretty much the same ones we've already heard about ad nauseum in the bay area. well, ad nauseum to me. 9er fans may disagree...
