Nassib is not a clear upgrade over either Gabbert or Krapernick. would not trade.

You're right, he isn't a clear upgrade, but that same talk only suggests that Davis is merely coming back to play for another team and he is refusing to play for the Niners still. Not sure how that would pan out, but if he is just going to hold out anyway, a 3rd QB wouldn't hurt.

:dunno

A potential pro bowl RT for a 26 year old QB who has thrown 10 NFL passes in 4 years. I'll go ahead and say no thank you.
it's fun to watch him fantasize though. :cool

a couple ways this could play out.
  • Davis plays the year for SF
  • Davis holds out for a trade (or new deal)
  • Davis doesn't make the team and gets released

and a couple variables play into these scenarios

what's more important to the Niners? Getting Davis for one year, even if he's only average? Letting Davis hold out and not trade him to set an example for future "retiree's"? Trading him for a pack of cigarettes and some used condoms just to get something in exchange? Try to lock him up and hope he comes through?

What's more important for Davis? playing for a year as an audition for a new contract? not playing for the Niners under any circumstances? running out his contract?

frankly i have no insight as to which of those is a priority for either side.

my hope as a fan is that AD comes back, gets into shape, and plays some mean ball for SF and keeps off of Twitter. even if it's just for a year. frankly i don't care if the Niners are able to trade him for anything. he's been off the books a long ass time now, in football time.

You want to talk about a long ass time? Victor Cruz is supposed to be back for real this year. :laughing

Matt Maiocco already reported that Davis and the Niners front office kissed and made up.

Could be smoke screen, but a guy who took a year off has zero trade value.

Patriots training camp has opened, and fans are not happy. :laughing

in 2 years he made the 53 man gameday roster....

zero times.

How completely void of talent do you have to be to not make the 9ers roster these past two seasons?! :laughing

it took you 8 hours to come up with that.

Dolphins biggest draft bust ever, a #3 overall first round draft pick, just got reinstated by the NFL after multiple violations of substance abuse and missing the entire 2015 season. This DE/OLB Dion Jordan was supposed to be the second coming of Aldon Smith...unfortunately this has proven true. :x

Your last chance, kid.

I'm not about to waste it. I can't waste it. And I (expletive) love doing it. I just turned 26 years old, so life starts to hit you in the face. Who are you outside of those shoulder pads and helmet?
