55 minute weighted (30lbs.) hike/run 1300ft. elevation
Squats sets of eight until failure (13 sets)

20oz. protein shake
10oz. spinach

1/2 pound processed chicken slices
sprouted wheat bagel

10oz spinach cooks down to like 3 forkfuls though :laughing

No Instagram account has been hurting my gains.
Dude didn't touch on dropping weights though. Seems a key part of any serious lifter's program.

Well I assumed it will be in part 2. Can't really put all the secrets in to one video.

He forgot to mention faking a hammie as the reason why you needed a spot to bench 225

It's like the most disappointing thing ever :laughing

Solid workouts all week, tad sore, but nothing unmanageable. Thank goodness tomorrow is Friday, got a lot of stuff I need to bet done, not the least of which is some serious job hunting. I think I'm channeling my anger at the entire work situation (and being in a part of the country I really can't stand) into the gym and my health - good direction for it I suppose :x

Only problem is my pants I just bought a few months ago I need a belt to hold up and have a big fold in the back of the one I'm wearing today - they'll have to move to the back of the closet after this - which, again, is technically good, but reduces my pants options LOL

Its so rad when clothes get too big!

Basketball and hill run yesterday. I took Tuesday off and was in bed asleep by 9:00. Don't forget to listen to your body gang. Rest when you need it. I was gun ho to lift Tuesday until I hit a wall at about 8:30. You can't grow if you don't sleep!

Good luck on the job hunt. I have been to Dallas a few times and the city is laid out as crappy as their airport. It grew too big with no clear direction on growth. So you are like 6 hours north of me where the weather is cooler and not so swampy.

Can't wait to ditch some clothes because they get too big. I have a ton of t-shirts waiting for my slim down.

Ya, I'm actually hunting pretty heavy in the north/northeast of Atlanta area - lease may make that not a possibility for another 8 months or so, but can't bear the current work situation that long...so time to move on.

Psst, don't let them fool you the Bay Ares is still pretty rad, come this way!

Ooooh, trust me, I really wish I could, but the state did a marvelous job of pricing me right on out - I'd MUCH rather be back home (Cali), but my line(s) of work pay about the same anywhere, but cost of living is radically different....since I'm not in tech, or a senior/high level employee, CA isn't much of an option (because I'm really over the whole "multiple roommates when I'm over 40" thing) :laughing

I have a co-worker that lives in Atlanta and he says it is as bad as the Bay Area for traffic but I have not been there to experience it myself. Hope you get to a better place soon.

Yeah if you like blackouts, outrageous electricity bills and $4 a gallon for gas and so many people it is crazy. I was reading something about Apple trying to get zoning laws changed to allow for high rise buildings to get more dense housing but when I see that I wonder how the antiquated power grid and lack of water are going to play into that equation.

I love the climate and the options for the area but wish it was more like it was when I was a kid there in the 80s and 90s.

One of my BFFs lives there, and traffic is bad if you're trying to get around/through Atlanta proper. I'm *hoping* to get a little further out, or even in an outlying town closer to the mountains...but that's all just me mulling ideas over. Right now, I just need out of this position/account.

And back on a fitness-related note, my "bad" shoulder is griping at me something fierce today :thumbdown Need to re-incorporate my pt-type exercises, I haven't been too worried about them since it was holding up, but today it's telling me otherwise : |

I try to hit my shoulders hard on shoulder day. It hurts like a mofo while doing it and a few days afterward but once the exercise-related pain goes away I find my shoulder actually behaves and feels better.

I deal with that every time I work out. I have moderate arthritis in my left shoulder and the first sets for each type of motion hurts, then as I work it the pain mostly goes away until I get up to max weights where it comes back hard on me.

There are some ways of working my shoulder which gives me pain for days, but others where the pain is only present when I'm doing the lifting.

2 yrs ago aggravated right shldr when I didn’t warm up properly on mil barbell press. Doc nor PT never really told me what i injured. PT helped a little. What has worked for me is ice but the best has been using a massage ball and really working the bicep tendon and other hot spots. Depending on what’s wrong with your shldr, give ice and a massage ball a try. Use a wall to work the ball into your shldr. Good luck!

I’m still in Phuket. I took one day off and was going to take a second day BUT NOOOO! You guys have to be cute and post your workouts. Goddamn all of you feckers! I felt guilty so dragged my ass to the local gym. Its a block from my hotel as I mentioned before. Convenient! Lots of BIG trashy goon tourists work out there. Its also a muay thai gym. The weightroom is like going back into time; love it.

So today I hit chest, lats, bis and flabs.

Some pics of the gym, its called Maximum “something-or-another.” It is located about 300 yards from the beach!! You can lift and sprint to ocean and swim. Win-win!

Every gym needs a poster of Ah-nold:
